端午節的日期為中國農歷五月初五 ， 用英文表示就是：5th day of 5th month in Chinese Lunar Calendar 。 中國傳統節日都是按照“陰歷（農歷）”來計算的 ， 而“陰歷”就是按照月亮的圓缺周期來制定的 ， 所以被稱為“Lunar Calendar” ， 即“陰歷”；而跟“陰歷”相對的“陽歷（公歷）”則是按照太陽的運行規律來制定 ， 故被稱為“Solar Calendar” ， 也叫做“the Gregorian calendar” 。
二、端午節的習俗
The festival commemorates the death of the poet Qu Yuan. The focus of most celebrations involves eating zongzi and racing dragon boats. Zongzi, is a traditional Chinese food, made of glutinous/stiCKy rice stuffed with different fillings and wrapped in bamboo, reed, or other large flat leaves. They are cooked by steaming or boiling. In the Western world, they are also known as rice dumplings, or sticky rice dumplings.

端午節被認為是為了紀念屈原的節日 。 端午節不可不吃的美味食物就是粽子 。 在糯米中加入肉、干果或者豆沙 ， 再以竹葉包裹 。 在端午節吃粽子是一個具有歷史意義的傳統 。 這個傳統現在在朝鮮、韓國、日本以及東南亞國家都很流行 。
三、如何用英文介紹包粽子的步驟？
1）have bamboo leaves watered.

2）Fill the boat shape with a few tablespoons of the soaked sticky rice. Top with a sprinkling of mung beans.

3）Packed it with line with three, four, or five angles.

4）Boiled them, first with big fire, then turn to small fire till rip.

Dragon boat racing is an indispensable part of the festival, held all over the country. As the gun is fired, people will see racers in dragon-shaped canoes pulling the oars harmoniously and hurriedly, accompanied by rapid drums, speeding toward their destination.
端午節最應景的節目就是賽龍舟 。 賽龍舟是端午節重要的組成部分 ， 槍聲一響 ， 人們就會看到龍舟上的運動員 ， 伴隨著快速的鼓點 ， 迅速又整齊劃一地劃動船槳 ， 沖向終點 。
