另一個和 come tomind 意思相同的類似用法是occur 。例如上面二句例句都可以用occur， 換句話說，意思仍舊一樣：
● Aninteresting thought just occurred to me!
● It occurredto me that I had forgotten to bring any money.
除了 come tomind 之外，come to 后面加上別的詞，則會構成其他很常見的短語：
● come to theconclusion 得出結論
We came tothe conclusion that Sean was telling alie.
　我們得到的結論是肖恩在說謊 。
● come to(one's) attention 注意到
It has cometo my attention that some students have been cheating in tests.
　我注意到有些學生在考試中作弊 。
LESSON 167 cometo the point 講重點；說到要點NO01 I don't want to hear the details; come to thepoint.
我不要聽細節，講重點就好 。
NO02 The sale *** an talked for thirty minutes beforecoming to the point.
推銷員在講出重點前，滔滔不絕地講了三十分鐘 。

come to 有“談到、涉及”的意思，所以 come to the point 字面的意思就是“談到這一點、到達某一點”，也就是“說到重點” 。例如：
● I'll come tothis point later.
　我稍后會談到這一點 。
美國國會民主黨參議員伯德在批評白宮對朝鮮政策時，他說到：it has come to the point that, whether by accident or design, thesituation in DPRK could rapidly disintegrate...（現在已經到了緊要關頭，朝鮮的局勢可能有意無意地迅速惡化……
summarize 和 come to the point 意思很接近，為“概括，總結”的意思 。summarize 的名詞 summary 也要認識一下！這個詞有“大意，摘要”的意思，寫讀書報告的時候，“故事大意”就是用這個詞啦！

這是杰夫夢寐以求的新工作 。
NO02 Sarahwas worried that Paul's predictionwould come true.
莎拉很擔心保羅的預測會成真 。

come true 表示你預料的事最后果然發生了 。
在使用這個短語的時候，要注意come true 的前面一定要放something 。come true 通常會和 dream 連用，例如，在九０年代紅極一時的日本偶像團體“美夢成真”的英文團名就是Dreams Come True 。
come true 除了可以和美夢連用，也可以和“預測”或是“惡夢”連用 。我們要說“惡夢連連”的時候，就是 nightmares come true 啰！
以前的夢想現在已經發生，我們可以用 have come true 來描述 。

今天工作時發生了些問題 。
NO05 Susancame up to Esther.
蘇珊走到埃斯特拉面前 。
NO06 Denniscame up and talked to Leo.
丹尼斯走上前來和里奧說話 。
NO07 Something just came up, so I can't meet withyou today.
發生了一些突發狀況，所以我今天不和你碰面了 。
NO08 I was talking to Sean,and the topic of his ex-girlfriends just came up.
我和肖恩聊著聊著，話題就突然轉到他那前女友們上 。

come up 是很重要的短語，后面加上別的詞所組成的短語也很常見！
● come upagainst 遭遇到；面臨
這個短語尤其用在遭遇困境的時候 。
例如：
Early Christians often came up againstpersecution.
早期教會的基督徒常受到迫害 。
● come upwith 想出；提出
這個短語用在想出一些辦法解決事情或是問題 。后面可以加 idea，plan 或是 solution 等 。
例如：
It didn't take Mindy much time to come upwith some great slogans.
明迪不需要花很多時間就可以想出一些很棒的口號 。
