生活百科表示


例：He was thrown off the horse.他從馬背上摔下來 。
The old man suddenly fell off the bike.那位老人突然從自行車上摔了下來 。
16across 表示“橫過”，指橫穿過一平面和一條線
例：He walked across the road carefully. 他小心地過馬路 。
17 through表示“穿過”，指從某個空間或地區內穿過，從這端進入從那端出來
例：The path goes through the forest. 這條小路穿過森林 。
He left through the back door.他從后門離開的 。
18 to表示“到……目的地”，強調到達目的地
例：She took the children to an animal park. 她把孩子們帶到一個動物園 。
19 towards 表示“向……方向”，指方向，不包含到達目的地的概念
例：He was walking towards the hospital when I met him. 我遇到他時，他正向醫院那邊走 。例：John drove towards Shanghai.約翰開車往上海方向去 。
John drove to Shanghai.約翰開車去了上海 。
20 for 表示“向……，往……”，常同leave, start, set out等連用
例：They started for the top of the mountain early in the morning. 他們一大早就朝山頂出發 。We shall set out for Africa soon.　我們不久將出發去非洲 。
21round和 around表示“周圍” 。例：The students stood round(/around) the teacher.學生們站在老師周圍 。He traveled around(/round) the world.　他周游了世界 。
22about 表示“各處，到處”，指范圍較模糊的“附近”例：He is walking about the town.他在城里到處走走 。
23 along 表示“沿著，順著”例：They had a long walk along the river. 他們沿著河走了很長的路 。
